A simbolic and historical Brigada Eskwela kick-off transpired today, July 25 at Masola Barangay wherein a number of leaders and stakeholders from various sectors and organizations convened to spearhead the Brigada Eskwela 2024 activity.
With a new secondary school that is soon to rise in Masola Barangay, the event paved the way for inclusivity and community-driven undertaking to be the highlight of the occasion.
The theme, “Bayanihan Para Sa Matatag na Paaralan.”, served as a fuel to all guests and visitors to adhere to the bayanihan spirit in making a community that is children-centered and children-friendly.
As mentioned by SDS Jay S. Montealto, the goal of making Deped Isabela City’s plans aligned with the local government unit starts to realize. By bringing the schools to the community, this will make schools more accessible to the children and distance will no longer be a challenge.
Furthermore, a powerful message from Mayor Dadah Hataman made the event more inspiring. “Gawin nating maganda ang Isabela para sa ating mga anak.” challenged all present to do a collective effort for the learners of Isabela City. In addition, she presented the recipient schools for the 2024 projects to be funded by the Isabela City LGU.
The present stakeholders also manifested their commitment of support to Deped Isabela City. In his commitment message, BGEN Alvin Luzon, PA of 101st Infantry Brigade emphasized that the security forces is always open to providing services for the schools in Isabela City as they now focus in making education as one of their priority programs.
Also gracing the event were City Vice-Mayor Kifli Salliman, City Councilors, Barangay Officials of Masola, other Barangay Captains from different barangays, PNP personnel, Philippine Army personnel, Deped Isabela City personnel, School Heads, Teachers, DENR personnel, Parents, Community elders and leaders.
Isabela City Schools Division would like to extend its sincere gratitude to all who in one way or the other made the event a resounding success.
