A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, for the construction of a single-story, three-classroom building at Badjao Floating Integrated School, Tampalan Barangay.
Under the Last Mile School Program, the new building is expected to provide much-needed additional space for the school’s growing learner population and will also improve the overall learning environment for them.
The project, which is estimated to cost around 17 million pesos, is funded by the Department of Education’s Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEF) CY 2024 and will be implemented and constructed anytime soon.
Isabela City Mayor Hon. Dadah Hataman and DepEd RO IX Director Ruth L. Fuentes led the ceremony, which was also accompanied by Assistant Regional Director Gregorio Cyrus Elejorde, SDS Jay Montealto, ASDS Maria Laarni T. Villanueva, IPMR Mary May Julhari, CID Chief Henry R. Tura, SGOD Chief Eduardo G. Gulang, BFIS Princial Diana Jean Segayo, Superintendents from other schools divisions, Regional Supervisors, and some DepEd Personnel.
