The annual gathering of sports enthusiasts through the Isabela City Division Athletic Association Meet 2024 came to an end, November 27, 2024, which was held at the Isabela City Grandstand.
Through the leadership of SDS Jay S. Montealto, the event ended with a huge success, honoring the tremendous and selfless efforts of all individuals who shared their resources, talents, skills, and time. In his message, he emphasized the individual contribution, the athletes and delegates as a whole strong spirit was evident througout the activity. The unwavering cooperation and camaraderie of one another, both off and on the field was truly remarkable.
The expectators were in profound excitement as they all waited for the announcement of the results. Division Sports Coordinator Dr. Arnel Hajan took the responsibility of announcing the official results. In the elementary level, Isabela Island District came victorious as the champion, followed by the Isabela East Distritct as second placer, Isabela North District as third placer, and Isabela West District as Fourth Placer.
Furthermore, Isabela East District emerged as the champion in the secondary level. Isabela Island District almost made it as they were declared as the second placer, followed by Isabela Nort District, Isabela West District and Private Schools Association as third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
Thus, Isabela East District was declared as the overall champion for this year’s ICDAA 2024 based from the total medal tally of both elementary and secondary levels.
Prominent individuals also shared their message of inspiration to the coaches, technical officials, and most of all to the athletes. Vice Mayor Julkifli Salliman, Mr. Moh. Nur Ladjagais representing Vice Governor Yusoph Alano, and City Councilor Abner Rodriguez genuinely expressed their hope and aspirations for the young athletes at the same time challenged them to do better in the field of sports.
Also, highlighting the closing ceremony was the Galaw Pilipinas Competition. Isabela East District took the first place position, followed by Isabela Island District as second, and Private Schools Association as third. In addition, special awards were also given like Most Disciplined Delegation, Best in Uniform, Best in Saludo, and Most Clean and Green. Each winner received certificates of recognition and cash prizes.
In her acknowledgement, ASDS Maria Laarni Villanueva expressed her profound gratitude to all stakeholders and Deped personnel who in one way or the other provided support in making the event a success.
Present as well in the program were Councilors Karel Sakalahul, Hon. Jay Casas, Hon. Benjo Ismael, Hon. Kalidzer Asarul, Hon. Richie Biel, Barangay Captain Fitzgeral Tan, and Kagawad Belen Aguinid.
