As a way to acknowledge the individuals and organizations who extended assistance in the continued delivery of basic education, Schools Division Office of Isabela City conducted the 2024 Stakeholders’s Summit held at Farmland Resort, Isabela City, December 19, 2024.
The event aimed to provide forum for discussion and sharing of best practices, achievements and needs of the schools to improve academic and non-academic performance; report to stakeholders the division partnership milestones; recognize partners who contributed significantly to the success of the division’s programs and projects; and explore possible areas of collaboration to maximize and sustain partnership with potential stakeholders and partners.
City Administrator Pedrito Eisma who represented Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman shared that education is the most potent force to address the gaps in the system and by supporting and investing in the education sector, all can move forward to a brighter and dignified life for all Isabeleรฑo learners.
Furthermore, SDS Jay Montealto emphasized the vital role of the stakeholders in making every learner happy guided by the provisions of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. He also added that access to quality education and learners’ wellness should be the top priority and that his leadership is finding mechanisms like opening new schools in remote communities so that learners will have more chances of acquiring basic education.
The recipients of this year’s summit were the leaders and department heads of the Local Government Unit of Isabela de Basilan, Provincial Government of Basilan, security forces, government and non-government organizations, adacemic sector, business sector, parent-teachers association, and other personalities and individuals who were in all solidarity with SDO Isabela City in its commitment to uplift the lives of the Filipino learners.
Also present in the occasion were ASDS Maria Laarni T. Villanueva, CID Chief Henry R. Tura, SGOD Chief Eduardo G. Gulang, Education Program Supervisors, District Supervisors, Schol Heads, and DepEd Personnel. In addition, Hon. James Abner Rodriguez, Hon. Mary May Julhari, Hon. Karel Sakalahul, and BGen. Alvin Luzon of the 101st Infantry “Three Red Arrows” Brigade also graced the event.
